Our Story

The Lynwood Café originally opened in 1937 in Randolph, Massachusetts. Our family story, and the story of our legendary café, begins in 1949 when Alfonse and Josephine Skiermont purchased the small neighborhood restaurant and bar. It’s been family-run ever since; their son Francis and his wife Pauline ran the Lynwood Café for many years, serving the community with a warm welcome, great food, and cold beer. Today it is run by Stephen and Pamela, the great-grandchildren of Alfonse and Josephine, who continue our legacy as a cornerstone of hospitality.

Our commitment to quality and consistency has made Lynwood Café a local legend of South Shore bar pizza. Using our original ovens and the same recipe since the 1960s, the Lynwood Café has served our buttery biscuit crust, zesty tomato sauce, and aged cheddar cheese to generations, becoming a staple of family pizza nights.

For over 70 years, we’ve proudly served the community. The Lynwood Cafe has been a place to run into someone from the neighborhood or chat with someone new, where anyone can relax, enjoy, and take a moment with family and friends. So many people have welcomed us into their lives, and we feel honored to have shared in countless family gatherings and birthdays over a Lynwood Café pizza. We look forward to keeping that tradition alive with the best South Shore bar pizza for years to come.
